Being In A State of Happiness 24x7... (Updated)..

24x7 happiness, sounds impractical but to be true, its really possible. Happiness or distress is only a state of mind, the hands or legs or even other body parts never react or say whether they are happy or sad. This message comes only from your mind. Because the mind which is so subtle and unstable, wavering and extremely quick to be brought under control, it is difficult to conquer it.But mind once conquered becomes your best buddy. For instance, suppose your surroundings and circumstances as per gods law and will and truth reflects that you are in a position completely happy but contrary to this your mind says that you should be unhappy and distressed. Automatically your entire body will react being distressed just because your mind which is like a controlling device of your body released signals or orders to be unhappy. 

This happens when the individual "self" allows the mind to go free in any direction even into those lanes where mind has no permission to enter. Even if your situation seems to be that of being happy and full of comforts but only because your mind misguided that you are not in a comfortable position hence you should show symptoms of distress. Now how to keep a check on this? . Not so difficult. The first step being - "Every endeavor, results, whatever happens with us in different walks of life is already predetermined as per gods wil" .And this reality has to be firmly and strongly adopted.  Everything moving and non moving and its outcomes are bound to happen but we out of greed have divided the results or fruits given to us by god in two groups - a) Happy and b) Sorrow. God never created or divided his endeavors and results into anything known as "Happiness and Sorrow". These words are created by greedy and lusty humans. 

Now how these two groups came into existence. As the individual soul took birth in this material manifestation on this material planet, the soul got conditioned by materialism which is a product of the three modes of this material nature.Three modes - Happiness, passion and Ignorance. Hence we living entities believe in dualities arised from these three modes and under influence of mode of passion we believe that acts performed by us are to be performed in mode of passion. It is the duty of mode of passion to finally give illusionary distress  Similarly under influence of mode of ignorance or mode of happiness we believe we need to perform our tasks under these modes. And again to say its the duty of these two modes also to release illusionary pain or happiness.

One can never be happy all the time (24x7) if he keeps shifting his actions between good, passionate and evil actions. Obviously doing anything in influence of these materialistic terms, you can either be happy or sad during different times and in different walks of life but you can never be "happy" all the time. Observe properly if you can, that when you performed good deeds and other times when you did something out of passion and deep desire or at some other times when you hurt someone out of anger, greed for your own benefit, sometimes you experienced happiness and other times anxiety or distress. So the idea is don't stick to these material feelings - being good or passionate or angry or greed etc for performance of your actions. Only do it because it ought to be done as a duty. You will realize you are already in the mode of happiness, not material happiness but blissful happiness

Transcending these three modes destroys the two illusionary groups made by us - Happiness and Sorrow in which we are entangled since time immemorial. Not easy to do but not impossible.

a) Perform your acts as a duty and because anyway the result of your performed actions is only in the hands of God, do not get anxious and stressed and thus don't relate yourself with the end result of your actions. Just how we take a dip in the river and thus experience the cool water on our body and take pleasure out of it, similarly do not take such a dip in the results of your actions because then you will have to experience pleasure or pain.

b) Be fully aware and in knowledge about the three modes of material nature and there results and reactions.

c) Being fixed in this knowledge as you perform your deeds, you will become fully aware that till now you were under an illusion that you were responsible for your deeds and hence took the credit of loss or gain, but these acts are being performed bu the three modes of nature and the "self" does nothing at all.

d) With this knowledge and with practice of applying this in your day to day life, you shall start performing such acts which will be neither in the mode of goodness nor in the modes of passion and ignorance. And such acts have no reactions which are beyond these three modes because reactions good or evil are only and purely associated with the three modes which are products of this material nature. Hence you must have heard often that we say "This life or this material life is full of good and evil results only and nothing else".

e) The acts which are beyond the three modes of nature has no karmic results and hence such performed endeavors will result in something more superior to even known as "Good results". Such acts result in something known as "Gods will". Definitely "Gods will" is far superior to "Good results". Because Good results are of temperorary nature giving you good but for a short life span where as results as per Gods will have a permanent effect, and Gods actually final will is to bring us out of this entanglement of temporary Good and evil results. The way out is to perform our deeds which are not dependable to be known as Good or evil but blissful..

f) Be connected with God for whch there are various paths provided by him like - meditation, visiting a place of shrine, temples, places of religious importance, listening to good music, prayers, charity, helping the needy etc.

g) Practice being optimistic.

h) The knowledge of God and the three modes of nature and the knowledge of dualities, anxieties, once all this is firmly adopted your body will slow down its reactions as something good or evil and will be in the same condition towards both good and evil,because now with practice of all above you are neither in a state of goodness/happiness nor in a state of distresses but you are in a state of blissfulness.

i) Physical fitness - Excercising.

J) Brain will get used to, living away from his friend " Stress".

k) If you can sincerely drop all material endeavors which you intend to perform in anxiety, passion, greed, anger, dualities and lust, then you are already on the platform known as "Happiness"

Blissful is neither good nor evil. It is a state of 24x7 enjoyment, this enjoyment to which we term as Happiness but whose real term is not happiness but a state of bliss.

As I decide to 'desire', I give birth to 'distress'..

As I decide to 'desire', I give birth to 'distress', I desire material gains (which are products of material nature) because of  being associated with the material nature at the time of birth in the form of this material body by coming in contact with the three modes of material nature- the mode of goodness, the mode of passion and the mode of ignorance. My this body which is a product of this material nature is called the 'field' and the one who knows the material body is called the knower of the field. The following are together considered in summary to be the field of activity and its interactions (the body): The five elements - (earth, water, fire, air and ether), false ego, intelligence, the unmanifested, the ten senses - (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin, voice, legs, hands, anus and genitals), mind, the five sense objects - (smell, taste, form, touch and sound), desire, hatred, happiness, distress, the aggregate, the life symptoms. Nature is said to be the cause of all material causes and effects, everything moving and non-moving is a produce of this material nature and whereas I (in contact with matter) am the cause of various sufferings and enjoyments in this world. I, in this material nature thus follow the ways of life, enjoying the three modes of material nature, this as I said earlier is due to my association with the material nature and thus I meet with good and evil in ways of life. This means that whatever I see in existence, both moving and non-moving is only a combination of the field of activity and the knower of the field but I, being the knower of the field actually does nothing at all. Thus, only with the vision of eternity I can see that I (the imperishable soul) am transcendental, eternal and beyond the modes of nature and despite contact with the material body, I neither do anything nor am I entangled, but due to my associaton with the matter, I believe myself to be the doer. If only I can transcend the three modes of nature, I can become free from all dualities and anxieties, can remain undisturbed, can regard alike happiness and distress, can be same towards honor and dishonor, desirable and undesirable. And one who intends to transcend the three modes should think of the Lord, become his devotee, worship him and offer homage unto him.

En-caged In This Cosmic Manifestation...

I take birth with a new material body, I sleep, I wake up, I perform actions, I get the result of my actions, I meet with good and evil, I again sleep. In this cycle of taking birth, sleeping, waking up, performing actions, facing the consequences good or bad and again back to sleep, every second I am aging, getting closer to death to again take birth. I realize that only deep within me I may find the answers to this mysterious process. Different religious texts, scriptures may not have the real content explaining the mystery behind this process. It seems like a cage from which there is no escape. But I intend to find the escape route. Route that transforms me from a temporary material body into an eternal living entity, away from all kinds of dualities. In the process of understanding all this, I somehow realize that I and other living entities across this cosmic manifestation are one and same and its like I am being expanded everywhere in different material identities, the reason behind this expansion could be two - (a) I preferred independence even from God, the supreme personality and wanted to experience a world away from him hence I am away from him unable to experience his real self, but as I and he are actually one and of same nature and content, I equally have the power to expand like him. (b) Because I am conditioned by coming in contact with this  material world's three modes of nature ie.mode of goodness, passion and ignorance, I am able to expand but in a conditioned material body only. My, way out of this material manifestation could be by transcending my karmic actions and still perform them in a way that they don't give any fruitive results thus I would not have to face any consequences under the laws of material nature.

Living Entities different modes and different characteristics..

Mode of Ignorance....
General Characteristics :
Foolishness, madness, illusion, inertia, indolence and sleep

Destination after death:
The hellish world and the animal kingdom

Objects of Worship:
Ghosts and Spirits

Food:
Tasteless, stale, putrid, decomposed, unclean, cooked more than three hours before being eaten, remnants of the meals of others, meat, fish, eggs and liquor.

Sacrifice:
Performed faithlessly in defiance of scriptural injunctions and with no spiritual food distributed, no hymns chanted and no remunerations made to the priests.

Austerity:
Performed foolishly by means of self torture or to destroy or injure others.

Charity:
Performed at an improper time and place, to an unworthy person like a gambler or drunkardor without respect.


Mode of passion....
General Characteristics :
Unlimited, uncontrollable desires and longing, intense endeavor and activities.

Destination after death:
Association of fruitive workers on earthly planets.

Objects of worship:
Demons, powerful men and self proclaimed imitation gods.

Food:
Too bitter, sour, salty, pungent, rich, dry or hot, causes pain, distress and disease.

Sacrifice:
Performed proudly for the sake of some material end or benefit.

Austerity:
Performed to gain respect, honor and reverence, brings only unstable, temporary results.

Charity:
Performed to get something in return with a desire for fruitive results or in a grudging mood.


Mode of Goodness....
General Characteristics: 
Relative purity, illumination, happiness and freedom from reactions, conducive to real knowledge.

Destination after death; 
The heavenly planets.

Objects of worship:
The demigods and the impersonal conception of god.

Food:
Increases longevity, purifies ones existence, gives strength, health, happiness and satisfaction, nourishing sweet, juicy, fattening and palatable, milk products, grains, sugar, fruit and vegetables.

Sacrifice: 
Performed as a duty, according to scriptural regulations and with no expectation of reward.

Austerity:
Performed with faith and without desires for ones material benefits, cleanliness, simplicity, celibacy, nonviolence, offering respect to demigods, spiritual masters and superiors like mother and father. Speaking beneficially, truthfully, and inoffensively, and with reference to vedic authorities, serenity, gravity, self control, purity of thought, detaching the mind from sense gratification.

Charity: 
Performed as a duty in proper time and place, to a worthy person and with no expectation of material returns.
 

The Feeling of that "I am"

The Human body which is like any other machine is being used by the spirit for performing various acts to contemplate with the objects of the material senses but a question arises whether the embodied spirit within wants to respond to the objects of the material world or is it forced into this situation and forced to act accordingly or as the Gita says that spirit within performs no actions but due to contact with the three modes of material nature thinks itself to be the doer which actually are performed by the three material modes and the spirit (self) within does nothing at all?, hence in any situation  as one has to act, perform your actions but with no fruitive desires of gain or loss, victory or defeat, thus putting efforts to transcend the three modes of nature and also remaining satisfied with gain that comes of its own accord.

In Bhagwad Gita chapter 14 its mentioned when the embodied being is able to transcend these three modes associated with the material body he can free himself from birth, death, old age and their distresses and can enjoy nectar even in this life. This sounds really amazing. A person who thus remains neutral, away from all kinds of dualities and clearly is aware all the time that the three modes of material nature are active alone and he being situated in self and one who has mentally renounced all material activities, one who does not hate illumination, attachment and delusion when they are present or long for them when they disappear, who is unwavering and undisturbed through all material reactions, who looks upon a lump of earth, a stone and a piece of gold with an equal eye, who is equal and same towards desirable and undesirable, praise and blame, honor and dishonor, who treates a like a friend and enemy, such a person is said to have transcended the three modes of nature.

Looks difficult to materialize the above system but still the though comes that it is so true that all material activities and its results are temperory hence what need is there for all this anxiety and dualities which only causes one thing and that is bondage.

The continous cycle of birth, youth, old age and death cannot be the final reality. There has to be something more meaningful beyond this. That feeling of Self - "I am Bharat Bajaj or I like so and so things and I dislike so and so, that feeling of "I" never changes even as one passes from childhood to youth to old age. The age of that "I" never grows and it never took a start, it already existed before, its same at present and will remain same in future.

It seems that that "I" is the real truth and everything else is false and non permenant and that "I" doesnot have a human nature, its existing but without any nature and without any dualities
